Mr Captain's Day – What a success!!!

A massive turnout and the winner with 40 points, Damon Clark’s comment says it all “ Thank you very much everybody. I was very overwhelmed and got a bit carried away with the beers. Absolutely overjoyed to win Captains Day”
2nd place was R Edwards - 38 points
3rd Place was S Hills - 37 points
4th place was A Harling – 37 points
Best F9 – Knash – 21 points
Best B9 – C Kegg – 20 points

Over 65 winner- I Magill 36 points

The weather stayed fine for a great Seniors Open

Course in good condition again, thanks to the Green Staff – what a team.

The Winners were: R Duckworth &R Brennan with 45 points

Second Place was: S Grace & J Blackmore with 40 points

Third Place was : S Newberry & Heald with 40 points

The best visitors were T Jones & S Scott with 40 points

A massive thank you to everyone who entered the Junior Fun Competition on Sunday 23rd June. I hope you all enjoyed it. Thanks to all the parents and friends who came to support. Many thanks to club members, Ian Robinson, Ruth Joyce and Jackson Grace for partnering three of the boys.

When the competition for Lady Captain's day was abandoned, it was reschedued and it was played on a glorious sunny day. Well done to all the ladies who played in the new competition where we had some great scores.

The competition was won by Rosemary Fort with Sue Hirons second.

What a fantastic day we had for Lady Captain’s Day in 2024
We started with fine weather only to have a massive down pour after 9 holes. The poor Ladies were drenched!!!!

It was abandoned but the Ladies brushed off the wet weather and turned out in their glad rags for a meal at The Ravine, Ghyll Golf Clubhouse.
A great turnout, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was brilliant, the evening was filled with laughter and chatter, enjoyed by all.

Everyone welcome! Come and have a go!

Use the practice nets, chipping and putting greens and go out on the course under supervision.
Clubs and balls provided if necessary.
