We are the catering and hospitality operation at Ghyll Golf Club, providing a relaxed and friendly environment for members, visitors, and guests to enjoy.
Shane is The Ravine’s General Manager and the main point of contact for all enquiries regarding events, catering, and bar services. With over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including managing large teams within a well-known restaurant chain, Shane is passionate about delivering excellent service and creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
Alongside Shane is Lucy, The Ravine’s Bar and Kitchen Leader. Lucy brings a wealth of experience from previous senior hospitality roles, where she managed both kitchen operations and teams. Known for her friendly and approachable nature, Lucy enjoys meeting new customers and helping create a warm and enjoyable atmosphere throughout The Ravine.
The Ravine team also includes a number of part-time team members who all share the same friendly, welcoming attitude and are dedicated to providing great service to everyone who visits.
Behind the scenes is Adam, the owner of The Ravine, who is responsible for creating many of our popular event nights, special evenings, and new ideas. Although he is not often seen around the clubhouse, Adam plays a big part in shaping the atmosphere and experiences that make The Ravine unique.
The Ravine is open 7 days a week during the summer season, with Mondays and Wednesdays operating as bar-only service days.

Greens Staff
We have a small team who do a great job of keeping our beautiful course in good condition year round.
Andrew Harling is chair of the Greens Committee
David Pinder has been a greenkeeper for 23 years and has worked at Ghyll Golf Club for 13 years.
Matthew Stevenson has been an apprentice from Myerscough College and started at Ghyll in 2022.
